Now, I’m singing that song from “Sound of Music”… what a beautiful pic. Leaves me longing for color in my life… our walls are white, carpet light beige. My shelves that once held my miniature collection are gone (sold when we were slated to move last year). Sigh…

And this is such a colorful time of year, if you’re in the right place! There are a couple of big maples across the street that are still dark orange. Against a clear blue sy, it’s quite a picture.

Overnight, it seems, our leaves have donned their fall colors. So pretty with their dark orange and light orange… and, of course the occasional white birch poking through against what today is actually a blue sky. It will be grey and stormy in a few hours, though, so enjoying it while I can.

White birches–don’t their leaves turn a beautiful golden-yellow? We don’t have a lot of them around here–some kind of insect killed off a lot of them. Birch leaf borer?

Neil, it doesn’t relate at all. I wrote that little piece a few years back and titled it “Home” without an exclamation point. When I put it up on the link page, the link took it to that older post. Trent tipped me off, and I fixed it. So now the link should take you to the correct story 🙂
