Today’s prompt: How are you brave?
Once upon a time there was a young woman who became a mommy for the first time. Then the second, third, and fourth babies came.
She wasn’t very brave by nature, but she learned that sometimes she had to be brave to protect her children.
She hate centipedes. They were just evil-looking, and they could scurry so fast! They gave her the goose bumps. But she and her family lived in a very old house with a dirt basement, and centipedes were a sad fact of life.
So she learned to hunt them. She learned to wait for them to come to her, and she learned to stomp on them, even though it made her shudder. She just couldn’t stand to think of one of those ugly bugs crawling on her sleeping babies!
And they all lived happily ever after.
This made me smile. Happy New Year. 🎉

Good for the mom. Being somewhat bug-indifferent myself, it’s fallen on me to be the “spider! deal with it” person all my life. 🙂

Spiders don’t creep me out the way centipedes do. Centipedes are just evil!
