Corona Thingy

“Hey, Florrie! What’s with all these spiky things ? We’re starting to look like that Corona thingy!”

“I don’t know, Petal. I guess this is just how we grow.”

“Well, I don’t like looking like something that makes people sick. They’re not going to plant us if we look more like a cactus than a flower!”

“You know, Petal, you complain a lot about things you can’t fix.”

“I know, but it didn’t matter until that bat flu thing went worldwide.”

“Just relax. Something else will come along and people will forget what Corona looks like.”

  1. Dear Linda,

As the variant is making the rounds, I would love to be in a time where we can forget what Corona looks like.
And isn’t it the way? There are those who are always on a fault finding mission. 😉
    Nicely done.

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    1. Indeed. I love history, and have read a lot over the years about epidemics like cholera, smallpox, typhus, the Bubonic Plague–always something to terrify and change or destroy life. And we still can’t cure the common cold 🙂

  2. Love this! What a great idea hearing from the flowers themselves. I like stories that speak for those without an audible voice. And yup, we’ve all moved on. I still have to wear a mask all day at work in aged care, so so over it. Good story though, nicely done. 🙂

      1. I agree about the masks, I don’t think they are effective, and some of the public wear them incorrectly which decreases their effectiveness… But it’s what we have to do. There will come a time when we don’t have to wear them, and we’ll all fling them in the air in celebration lol
