“What a fascinating window!” declared Zing. “It seems cluttered and messy, but I’ve noticed a lot of Earth people seem to enjoy clutter. Look, there are all sorts of things!”
Zang took his time, browsing from left to right, top to bottom. “Is there anything anyone would actually NEED, Zing? Why are they using those strange dark-colored glasses?”
“I believe the dark glasses are meant to protect their under-developed eyes from the glare of their sun.”
“They really are primitive, aren’t they? Such fuss and bother, preserving images of ancestors. And using artificial protection for their eyes!”
Wait till Zing and Zang discover ancestor statues!

Linda,
Oh it’s good to hear from Zing and Zang again! No doubt they have x-ray eyes and photographic memories. :>)

No doubt! They are certainly way beyond OUR primitive growth 🙂

Dear Linda,
Good to see the little fellas again. So much we primitive humans don’t quite understand. 😉

They still don’t get us, I suspect they never will!

Probably not. I don’t think we would “get” them, either 🙂

Zang still has a lot to learn if he does not value ancestors

I wonder sometimes how much Americans value our ancestors. It seems we’re so busy trashing them “canceling” them, tearing their statues down, removing portraits. Seems our youth are being taught to despise ancestors.

For an advanced species they sure are judgmental! Entertaining story, Linda.

Thanks. Most “advanced species” tend to look down on those who have not yet reached their own state of development. It’s not just a human trait.

Well-said, Linda, that’s what worries me. You are very welcome.

Interesting conversation of Zing & Zang.
Didn’t any bystander get to see them through his/her primitive underdeveloped eyes? 🙂

They must have been in invisible mode 🙂

Not to value ancestors suggests a whole bunch of things about their society. Fascinating insight into the young aliens’ lives!

How lovely to see Zing and Zang again. Maybe they don’t need images of ancestors because they can communicate with their spirits or souls–at least those who have them.

Well, I’m not sure. Depends on which part you find ironic, I guess 🙂

They are the cutest characters, Linda.
A very amusing tale about the way humans are navigating through life.

Indeed how strange we must seem to an outsider. Our little habits, both good and bad. Our eccentric choices in attire. One could go on and on… Enjoyed seeing Zing and Zang again.

I really think that any society will seem strange to anyone from a completely different society. No matter where.

True that. I think one of the best lessons I ever learned in school was to study other cultures and countries. It was more than just sneaking a peek at National Geographic… I actually was fascinated by the articles themselves… still am, though they’re not as good as they once were.

I loved NG for years, but I am no longer reading it. They have politicized just about everything.

I agree, It’s been a while since I read it. They don’t have it in the library here. Though they do have every horse mag available and everything Nazi oriented in print it seems. I stopped going to the library unless I need to go online for something, or to get tax forms. Part of why we want sooo very much to move back to Ohio is decent libraries.

Z & Z don’t like clutter, who knew? They would look cool with the sunglasses on though.

Yes, they sure would 🙂

I’ve written many stories about my little aliens. You can find the on the right side panel under “Categories”–at the bottom, of course 🙂 I think I need to bring them out of retirement. It’s been a while since I wrote about them
