“No, LOOK! It’s on the upper right side of the picture. Plain as day!”
“Okay, Detective. Let’s say it’s an eye. So?”
“Does no one ever THINK around here? What does an eye do? It SEES!”
“Sees what, man? You’re going all woo-woo on me here!”
The detective sighed. “US, you idiot! No way for us to sneak up on the cabin, surprise the guy in there. The EYE sees us!”
The Chief looked down, then back up. “Okay, so we get rid of the eye. Then, we go in. All right?”
“Yeah. Yeah, okay. HOW?”
Hmm. He’s got it all thought out apart from the tedious practicalities

I think Detective Woo-Woo needs a vacation.

It was the first thing I noticed about the picture. You now how sometimes you can’t UNSEE something? It’s probably just the way the branches come together, but it looked like an eye, I used it.

No need to unsee, when what you see is something to make a great story. It was a great spot, well done, Linda.

Perhaps they should try coming in on his blind side? 😉

Not off to a good start, are they?

I think this is going to take some time. Hopefully they have that.

It wi also take some persuasion 🙂

Dear Linda,
I’d say the detective either has an overactive imagination or has been working too hard.

Now I wonder whether the detective is going to be proved right. Love how you focussed away from the centre of the image.

Thanks. That “eye” as all I could see 🙂

Linda,
Haha. I don’t hold out much hope of these two accomplishing anything. But they’ll try!

Oh dear, they come across as inept, best of luck. I believe the suspect is long gone by now.
There is an element of slapdash comedy in your story, which I enjoyed.

Thank you, James 🙂 I don’t think they have much experience with real crime 🙂

I imagine the chief and the detective to be a bitt of a bumbling pair. Hopefully, they’ll get the job done in one piece. I love that you saw something else, other than the cabin. Great “eye!” Entertaining dialogue. =)

Thanks, Brenda. The eye was the first thing I saw, and i couldn’t look away 🙂

I love the dialogue here, Linda. If they tamper with the eye it will be a warning just as sure as anything. I say bazooka the cabin and call it good 😉

I’m with you. The old cartoon “Keystone Kops” was in my mind as I wrote 🙂

It’s not a wrong idea, honestly…. if bad guys are holed up in their, it stands to reason they have some kind of lookout… Just trying to be on your guy’s side since everyone else is dissing him 😉

I’m sure he would appreciate your support, Dale :). Could be he’s been a great detective, but he’s getting a little twitchy now!

After years of running after perps, I would imagine anyone who has done it for any length of time would become twitchy 😉

Yes. One of the hardest jobs on earth. Needs more respect than it gets.

He sure did. I wonder if the chief heard it 🙂

If their approach fails, they can always blame it on the eye. Fun story, Linda.

Now the eye is all I see when I look at the picture! Sort of natural CCTV! Nice one Linda.
Here’s mine!

Sorry about that :). It’s the first thing I saw, and nothing else mattered after that!
