Keeping their distance, Zing and Zang circled the box. “What do you think it is?” questioned Zang.
“How should I know?” Zing was irritated,
“What should we do?”
“Why do I always have to have the answers? I don’t know! What do you think?”
“Uh–I don’t think we should touch it.”
“Duh, Bright Boy! I’m sending images to Zirkon’s headquarters. They’ll direct us.”
Suddenly, the message came to them both: “Under NO circumstances are you to touch that box. Return home RIGHT NOW!”

Is that the last, the very last, of our little alien visitors?

What does headquarters know about that box that they’re not telling?! I hope they are allowed to return in the future.

Dear Linda,
I have to wonder why they’ve been ordered not to open the box. Cute. They remind me of the two aliens on Sesame Street. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTc3PsW5ghQ

Hmmm… guess they were never supposed to even find “The Box”… Best they listen to headquarters.

That sounds ominous. Maybe a spot of decontamination is in order.

Sometimes it pays to be a good Pandora and not ever to mess with the box

Now, they have to open it.

I don’t think they’ll disobey orders. They’re conditioned to do exactly as they’re told. But that idea sure could develop into some interesting plot twists 🙂

Ooh, yeah. They could start with a philosophical debate on whether or not to disobey the order. That would give you a whole story before they even open the box.

Well that’s a definite instruction, them alien critters sure don’t like human fridges.

Sort of reminded me of the gunkulator that Hogan’s Heroes created for the Nazis 🙂

Hopefully, they obeyed. On the other hand …! Nice take Linda.

What’s in the box? It seems like Zing and Zang are being told off for being out without permission, or perhaps the box contains something deadly to their species. I wonder! A fun read as always.

I don’t suppose we’ll ever know. I heard that the person who writes their stuff is fresh out of ideas 🙂

A nice bit of mystery, Linda. Zing and Zang were smart to ask headquarters before opening the box. Or, else …

Just thinking…Perhaps their boss wants to keep the pleasure of opening the container for himself.
