“Ow! You didn’t have to knock me over, you pinhead!”
“Oh, stop whining! I was just stretching my flipper! You know how stiff we get, sitting here all day until She leaves and we can move again.”
“Yeah, yeah. Did you see how many paper clips She went through today? It’s a wonder they even give her more.”
“I know. Clips, lip gunk, and markers–she’s pretty weird. Hey, do you know what the white stuff is?”
“Nope. Do you know what a “bonds system” is?
“Nope.”
“I guess stuffed penguins don’t need to know much.”
“Nope.”
Very cute story!

What a wonderful point of view… reminds of the Far Side comics a bit

Exactly 🙂 I really wasn’t thinking about Toy Story, but yes, I can see that.

This was good. The toys coming to life in the night is a tried and tested formula (Hey, I did it too) but you have written it in a cute way. Cheers for that, Varad

That was a fun piece. Now, I’m looking at the little Davy Crockett porcelain figurine behind my computer and wondering what he’s going to do when I leave.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who was drawn in by the penguins. Good story.

I was surprised at how many didn’t mention them at all. After the cup of clips, they were the main feature for me.

Fun story … wouldn’t it be something if all those stuffed animals were talking about their owners for real? LOL

This is really cute, LInda and had me smiling. My son once said, with tongue in cheek, he wondered if the stuffed tiger Hobbes in “Calvin and Hobbes” really did come to life.Good writing. 😀 — Suzanne
