Morning Grouch

Because the Night

Are you a night owl or are you the early bird? What’s your most productive time of day? When do you do your best work?

know I’ve written about this before, but I can’t find it.  Maybe it wasn’t in response to a prompt.

Truth?  I’m a morning grouch.  Well, maybe I’m being too hard on myself.  What I really need in the early morning is just to be left alone for a while. I do not wake up full of merry sunshine and joy, chatting and dancing through the house as I prepare for the day.

I don’t understand people like that.  Truly.  My body is still reaching back for my delightfully comfy bed, especially during the dark season when I can pile on my down comforter and burrow like a mole.

It’s so HARD to leave that for the cold, cold reality of the day.  I’m a morning Eeyore.

Terry, on the other hand, is a morning Tigger. Aha!  Those two words–morning Tigger–triggered my memory, and I did a quick search, found the post I was thinking about. It’s actually pretty funny 🙂  You can find it here, and may it brighten your morning 🙂

  1. I move very slowly in the morning and have to compensate for that by actually getting up earlier than other people. But come ten at night and I am ready yet to tackle new projects. I have never understood loud, singing, whistling people in the morning. We are all so unique, fearfully, and wonderfully made. My mom used to say, “It takes all kinds to make the world go around.”
