Robinson Terry Crusoe

We’ve all been asked what five objects we’d take with us to a desert island. Now it’s your best friend’s (or close relative’s) turn to be stranded: what five objects would you send him/her off with?

Wouldn’t I want that person to have the same stuff I’d like to have?  Well, maybe not.  Everyone is different. So, let’s see.  If it were my husband, for instance, here’s what I know he’d like:

1.  His Bible

2.  His eyeglasses

3.  A weapon of some kind for food and protection

4. A basic tool kit–hammer, pliers, screwdriver, probably a vise.  Anything else, he could create.

5. A huge supply of peanut butter, raisins, and gluten-free bread

He’s a pretty uncomplicated man when it comes to his basic wants and needs. He could live quite happily on his island for a very long time. He’d miss me, of course, but if there’s an endpoint to this exercise, he’d just patiently wait for that moment. He loves his family, but he’s very content to be alone. He loves nature, he loves God. He’s quite brilliant at figuring out how to make whatever he needs to survive.

Hmmm.  I think I’ll marry him 🙂

    1. I will, and thanks.

My Deb wants to know if you guys can come to the Christmas sing at their place. It’s on Friday the 12th. She was delighted when i told her you were thinking about it.

Also, as of right now I’m free for lunch on the 12th, 15th, or 19th.
